About the masterclass
The masterclass is an introductory workshop dedicated to 360° video content for Virtual Reality (VR), designed for beginners or those who want to explore the immersive mediums of Virtual Reality. The masterclass follows two main directions: a creative one, focused on understanding visuality and spatiality in an immersive environment, and a technical one, where participants will get hands-on experience with equipment and the basic principles of VR production.
We will discuss 360° cameras, movement and framing in a spherical space, as well as the unique challenges of VR—such as motion sickness and technical limitations. On the software side, we will cover fundamental concepts such as stitching, basic editing notions, and essential steps of post-production. We will also touch on topics such as 360° sound, adapted lighting, and the effective distribution of VR content on online platforms. The goal of the Masterclass is to provide a solid and practical foundation for understanding and creating relevant VR content, through a balanced approach between technology and artistic expression.
About marius hodea (Ro)
Marius Hodea’s work focuses on exploring virtual reality (VR) as a phenomenon and technology that shapes and influences the representation and perception of spaces, architectural and ambient environments. He is concerned with the complex relationship between humans and real versus virtual space, and how VR can induce a sense of presence. Through VR, he investigates how we can simulate various real and virtual experiences, giving users unique opportunities to interact and perceive virtual environments.
