Danceable: Explorations through Spatial Dynamics aims to offer participants a unique learning experience, helping them discover and improve their relationship with their own bodies in space, through an innovative and creative approach. The workshop objectives include enhancing body awareness, expressing emotions through dance, fostering collaboration and teamwork, and exploring space and movement dynamics. In essence, the class embraces a creative approach to movement, rhythm, space, posture, and improvisation.


About Catrinel Catană (Ro)

Catrinel Catană is a choreographer, contemporary dance teacher, performer, physiotherapist and practitioner of Spacial Dynamics therapy. She gives classes and workshops in contemporary dance and body awareness for children, young people and people with physical and intellectual disabilities in schools and non-governmental organizations, deeply understanding and being able to decipher the importance of movement in their lives.

Catrinel graduated from the “I.L.Caragiale” University of Theatrical and Cinematographic Arts, Choreography department, and has a Master’s degree in “Choreographic Art”. Since 2007 she has participated in workshops of contemporary dance, choreographic dramaturgy and movement therapy. She specialized in “Kinetotherapy and Special Motricity” and took a master’s course in the same faculty, “Kinetotherapy in Locomotive Disorders”. She is interested in exploring how emotions are mapped in the body, as well as the therapeutic power of dance and bodily expression. In 2020, The National Center for Dance in Bucharest offered her an award for her contribution to the development of contemporary dance.
