FRIDAY, SEPT 12 / 11:00 / THE RESIDENTIAL CENTER AMALIA AND CHIEF RABBI DR. MOSES ROSEN
Co-organised by ADO - Asociația Artă pentru Drepturile Omului
In partnership with Centrul Rezidențial Amalia și Șef Rabin Dr. Moses Rosen
This workshop is aimed at elderly people of all genders and cultures, motivated by the desire to explore a body that not only decides to move, but also allows itself to be moved by what happens—through contact, listening, and shared presence. We will hold hands, touch, lean on each other, give and receive weight. The body will soften, stretch, open to the moment. The body is approached as a living, responsive organism—porous, adaptable, always in relation. There is no fixed boundary between self and other: the skin is not a wall but a bridge, where exchange becomes possible. Holding hands becomes a poetic and political gesture—a simple act of care, love, and resistance in the encounter between bodies. We will explore how to move with others—not by performing, but by being present, allowing ourselves to be transformed by the connection.
About Silvia Brazzale (IT)
Silvia Brazzale (Vicenza, 1998) is a dance artist and performer whose work is rooted in a deep attention to the relational dynamics between bodies, spaces, and communities. With a background in Anthropology (BA, University of Bologna), she explores the body as a site of interaction and transformation. Her practice is informed by a sensitivity to the shared context — the human and non-human elements that shape each encounter.
She is part of the CRAC Collective and has been involved in several co-creative projects, often blending performance, installation, and community dialogue. Since 2024, she has been a Dance Well teacher, regularly working at Teatro Civico di Schio and Palazzo Magnani in Reggio Emilia, and teaching contemporary dance to children and diverse communities. Her choreographic research spans collaborations with people with visual impairments and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Silvia has performed in works by Virgilio Sieni, Daniele Ninarello, Paola Bianchi, Roberta Zerbini, Aristide Rontini, and Simona Deaconescu, among others. She took part in international programs and workshops led by Cristina Caprioli, Ambra Senatore, Alessandro Sciarroni, Elena Giannotti, and many more. Her artistic path continues to evolve through a constant questioning of how to live — and move — together.
